I bought the deluxe plus state…. Silly me thought that meant filing state wouldn’t cost also. I feel like I was scammed.
I could have done my taxes through IRS.gov for free and state would have still cost the e-file fee.
Save your money !!

Does this software calculate the correct amount of my SSA income that is taxable? If I itemize and I put all my medical costs on it, does it determine whether I've hit the correct percentage that will allow deductions?

I have been using H&R Block tax software for years. I'm always happy with the ease of navigation, the explanations of the preparation steps and the speed at which I am able to complete my return.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

I have used this product for a number of years. It imports all the information possible and is very easy to use and to follow. I have never had a problem using it.

Way better than TurboTax

It cost half of what I spent for the same preparation last tax year.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents

I have for years purchased the software on CD ROM. it was an uncomplicated download. It took a while to figure out this new download. I'm in my 70s, I'm sure that I'll have to figure it out again next year. The program referred me to publication 939. It is 83 pages of complex tax laws and tables. I thought that the tax software would prevent this by asking the appropriate questions and doing the calculations needed for the appropriate input to the tax forms,
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've always used H&R block to do my taxes and they've always given me my biggest refund and easy to use and have the option of expert support..
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast
