Problem with state

I could not seem to get credit for interest on US savings bonds on my Illinois taxes. I gave up and paid state of illinois instead of probably getting a refund.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund

paper length for printing is off

For many years now, when we print the H&R block returns we just filled out, the cover page with all the summary info never fits on a 8.5x11 inch standard paper! please make the cover page fit an ordinary size paper. The forms print fine, but that cover page always trys to print off the page. Also, you give the option of downloading forms from companies, why not give the option to drag and drop pdf copies of all these forms since we normally get them in the mail or on line anyway.
Also you gave no extra info on the 1040 form regarding whether the income from pension 1099-R is deductable or not, you just leave the box open for us to decide. I don't know if it is or not and you give no info on how to determine if it is or not.

cheap but difficult to use

I bought this program very cheaply. However, it is difficult to use and its lack of directions is very frustrating. I paid more than five times as much for Turbo Tax, but it's incredibly easier to use.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare

forms print too large

I am unable to get help on this issue. the PDF files take four pages per single page of the forms, with images in the corner. Fix this problem or next year I will switch to Turbo Tax.

Easy step by step process

I have been doing my own taxes for years using either H&R Block or Turbo Tax. This year I bought both programs in order to get an exact comparison. While both eventually got the same results, I found it easier to understand the directions for H&R Block while those for Turbo Tax sometimes had me wondering exactly what they meant. For example, should I enter a percentage or do the multiplication myself and enter the result. With H&R Block there was no questions about what to do. H&R Block also gave more explanations of things along the way that I found helpful. Turbo Tax twice came up with errors that I had a hard time trying to figure out and correct, but H&R Block was error free right from the start. So I now filed with H&R Block. E-File was fast and easy too.
Pros: Easy to prepare
I would recommend this to a friend!

I am very happy with this product. I was able to receive a larger refund because of IRS changes I did not know about.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

I always use HR block for year and it's easy to use. I do use windows 11 and it worked great!
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast
