I had trouble reporting my IRA distributions. Please check my chat notes as I had 2 separate chats with your representatives and they were of no help to me.
Cons: Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very good, easy to use program.

I have been using the Deluxe Federal + State program for many years. I never think of buying another brand program. The Software Support is very helpful also if ever needed.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not right

I have been using the software for years. One bug to report. Could not at first e-file state because a W-2 has same amount of taxes withheld for state and local taxes. I had to reduce local by a dollar to get our taxes to e-file.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have used HR Block tax programs for many years now. It never fails to provide all the features needed for our taxes.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

Good Enough to get your taxes done

Has a few minor confusing areas but if one refers to the IRS Publications they can usually figure out unclear areas. Same problem with other tax software brands. Also, one can check efile status simply by clicking on "E-File Status" in upper right corner.

I've been using TaxCut for more years than I can remember. It has always been quick and accurate for me. I love TaxCut and will continue to use it for the foreseeable future.

State e-file issues

This has been my go to software since the Kiplinger days. The last 2 years have had issues when it comes to e-filing. Last year it was with federal; this year it is with state. Both times have involved a long sessions with tech support. Last year was resolved; this year state is still pending and may require paper filing. If I'm going to file paper, I might as well have done that from the start. Disappointed!

Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
