BAD FOR MULTI STATES FILING

THIS SOFTWARE TOO EXPENSIVE AND NOT DESIGN FOR MULTI STATES FILING. TOO BAD...I USING H&R FOR YEARS, TIME TO CHANGE.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare

The tax "interview" takes a crazy gommint forms mess and makes it a quick, half-as-painful experience. BUT. MG!! Loading this program on the computer is like loading disks to a Radio Shack -80 in...1983. Had to set up a "clean" Win10 user log-in just to set up the program??? Same with the state add-ons. VERY CREAKY INSTALLS!!!

they eliminated the pro review and the software is not user friendly. The call number for help is terrible. I am going to try turbo tax next year

Great Product & Great Value

i have purchased this software package for many years. It is very easy to use, even for complicated forms such as K-1. I love the way that I can import data from my investment accounts.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast
Cons: Time consuming

Poorly programmed

Got all the way through, then tried to e-file. Program requires "activation code", but it fills in incorrect copy of code in an erroneous format. Tells you you have to get tech support. Chat line says wait is 5 minutes, then admits I'm number 34 in line. After a half hour I dug the correct code and filled it in in the correct format. I can only hope it did better at calculating my tax than it did at filling in the code it generated.
In calculating the tax, it says it imported some amounts from my broker. I didn't ask or authorize it to do that, so I don't know where it got the numbers.

Could not e-file federal return without getting an error with spouse's agi amount, we file a joint return. We always file a joint federal and state return.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast
Cons: Time consuming

MacOS 12.3, then try again next year. Maybe the bugs will be worked out by then.
