Glitchy and prone to Crash on M1 Mac

Every time I got to a key point in entering my data, the program would crash. This kept happening up to and including submission of my taxes. I had to save constantly to avoid losing data. This product does not work well on new M1 Macs using OS 12.3.1.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great if your return is easy

I have used this program for years, but this year I had to use the form for Obamacare. I could not type on the form. When I clicked NEXT, I got a pop-up telling me the auto filled form was done correctly. Then, when I went to efile, that form was not part of the return and the IRS rejected my return 2x. I finally printed the return and the form for 8962 and mailed it in

Not enough phone or chat support.

First verification that no errors on federal return completed but when it was time to efile it said there were errors which had to be fixed first but then it would not list the errors and no phone or chat support was available for over 1/2 hour. I could not hold that long and had to file printed. While they excel at the bulk of the product, this lack of support is too horrible to ignore.
Pros: Maximizes refund

Incorrect Entry Generated on Schedule W

I spent about 4 hours trying to figure out how to fix a bug in the software. Somehow it is generating an 'X' in both the "Filer" and the "Spouse" columns on the Michigan Schedule W - - even though the Software does not allow more than 1 person to be assigned to each W2. Hopefully this doesn't cause an audit flag from the state because the form was filled in wrong.
Cons: Time consuming

kept wondering about my return status are filing. after a 20 day pause, went in to check the status and discovered it was never sent! better ckeck on it!

Covers most anything you'll need.

The only thing that I'd like to see changed is instructions for 1099-S forms, and other odd types of income. Yes the IRS has a website, I get it but it could be beneficial to other users in the future.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Hard to import documents

Your tax software program has been good in previous years but this year it's awful. I've had trouble updating both the Federal and State returns. I need to fix this.

Disapppointment this year: Form 8606 has been included in my return since I began using this software. NOT ONCE during the preparation or REVIEW was I reminded to complete the data input. It's easy to forget when the preparation is not completed in one session. I completed the amended return, but the printed form for mailing does not indicate that is an amendment. I will research this and the mailing instructions myself.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast
