Broken feature

For many years I've used this product and was satisfied until this year. The ability to download financial records from the brokerage failed to work. Instead I needed to input the many transactions individually manually. The connection to Charles Schwab failed to work.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I always get this software for my taxes because it’s intuitive to use with guided help if I need it.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

Finally fixed the Upload of Stocks Traded

For years, H&R Block software would not accept the large number of options trades from Ameritrade. Seemed like software had a capacity issue. Finally the software is fixed and now works. For the first year in a decade, I was even able to file electronically because of this improvement.
Pros: Easy to prepare

Great Experience

This makes the 4th year I've used this product. H&R have tweaked this product based upon user suggestions making it easier to use. The importation of Form 1099-B and 1099-D data from brokerage firms is seamless and exact to forms downloaded from client portal exterior to the program. I've signed up for the automatic purchase of next year's program.

OK to file, planning part is deficient

Was OK to do filings but the part for determining how to change withholding for next year has severe problems. Has not been updated to new forms, says to print but can not, does not correspond to 2019 changes in forms, etc. Does not calculate penalties for too low withholding in current year filing or indicate how to change withholding to not pay those.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Thorough and pretty easy to use

The one thing that kept it from a five-star review is the fact that I couldn't indicate that I had not used a vehicle for my business at all in 2021. I was required to enter a positive number for the business miles driven.

M1PR (MN STATE) Property Tax print not found

The state property tax forms are not e-filed. Then there is no easy point where they get printed. It should have been available on the State print option. It was frustrating to find where it gets printed and where it gets mailed to.

Schwab Issues

I have used this software for years and never had an issue importing Schwab data--until this year. I will move to a different software if this problem occurs again next year.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast
