Been using H&R since TurboTax screwed around customers probably 7+ years ago.
One issue is getting messages at the end before filing, sometimes clearing item doesn't make sense.
Example : to clear on my daughter's return for 2024, had to change, increase by $1 for either SSA or Medicare tax/taxable wages - one of those, don't exactly remember which.
All numbers input were accurate, consistent, equal where they should be, yet the software stopped the filing for detecting an error needing cleared. Increasing the one entry by $1 let it go through as anticipated. IRS would not catch this $1 difference, wouldn't matter to them.
That's just one thing this past year. It's common to run into this before being able to electronically file. It's a recurring theme annually, going way back.
Been a CPA for 42 years, know a little something about this kind of stuff.

Incorrect interview for dependents wrong birthdate

I Paid for State software that was never delivered

You cheated and gypped me. On April 12 I bought 2024 Deluxe + State Tax Software. On April 13, after filling out the Federal form, I went to the State tab, and it told me I had to pay for the State software, even though I had already paid for Federal + State. Out of desperation, I paid, and it then brought me back to the page that said I had to pay for State software. The State software was never delivered. I exited the program, got in again, paid for State software again, and again it brought me back to the page saying I had to pay for State software, but it never delivered anything. I ended up doing my State taxes by hand, not using H&R Block. Bottom line: I paid 3 times for H&R Block State tax software that was never delivered.
