I have used H&R Block for the past 15 years. Always easy to use and very helpful.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

I have used H and R Block to prepare my taxes for the last 15 years. Need I say more.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents

Good prompts. Usually easy to follow the guidance. For a couple of the slides it was not intuitive. Also, I still cannot load in > 3 countries for foreign dividends & taxes paid. Not sure why, but your software will not allow a 4th and I have 10. I had to combine countries.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
Cons: Hard to prepare

Activation code provided in purchase e-mail generated an error code when entered and directed me to call tech support. I do not have the desire to be on the phone for what would likely be an extended amount of time. I'm mailing the return and will be looking at possibly purchasing turbo tax next year

Deluxe software

I have bought in past years - have had several issues with this year's product not sure if updates are issue or not.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy to use

Have used HR Block for years. Never a problem, even with my changing situation over the years. The program takes you step by step through difficult situations. Cannot imagine attempting doing taxes without it.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast

I've used competitors in the past but have used HRB's software for the past few years and I'll never go back! The software is intuitive, user friendly, and comforting - I never forget to add pertinent information anymore!

"Deluxe" incudes Schedule C

I don't know tax accounting but I do know how to copy numbers from forms I get in the mail into forms in software, so I have become our home tax preparer. I like to have the software installed on my own computer, and H & R Block still offers downloadable software. I also need a Schedule C, and they include that in the Deluxe version that I use.
Pros: Easy to prepare
