Support is worthless

I've been using the program for several years. It is relatively user friendly and I have not had an issue until this year. But when I had an issue with a rejected return, it was impossible to get help. The chatbot in the help center simply repeated the same question to me no matter what I typed in. The 888 number put me on hold for 25 minutes, then gave me a menu to choose my topic, and when I chose, it disconnected the call. So now I'm on my own to figure this out. Worthless.
Been using it for years. Worked fine as always. Minor issue when resubmitting return due to minor numerical error. When corrected resubmitted both Fed & Ztate as instructed but seems I was charged the State filing fee twice as again entered credit card info when resubmitting as thought 1st submission wasn't entered. Wish instructions tons would e more clear
Been using this for at least 13 years and have always been happy with it. Will continue to use the software, although I did have a great deal of trouble downloading a copy. Got the code immediately after paying for it, but the launcher did not work. Took off and on for a couple of months working with two different help-desks to get a copy of the software that use to be delivered on CD. Why so difficult: the software is useless without the code. Part of the problem was traced to Yahoo Email blocking HRBlock, which seemed very strange. First problem I've ever had.

Problem with IRA Qualified Charitable Distribution

The Qualified Charitable Distribution was handled on the federal return, but did not transfer to the state return resulting in overstatement of state income. Called Block for help and held on hold for 75 minutes at which point I gave up. Called the state and was advised (rather than manually doing return) to file as overstated and then file an amended return to add the charitable contribution.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare
This is the best program for me, fits my needs without having to upscale for things I didn't need. Sometimes the program wouldn't take changes, or would say the download didn't work when it did, but verifying and making the corrections a second time worked. It's easy to use and has everything expected per the description.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast
Mortgage Interest Worksheet balked, didn't like name of a person as lender (it's a land contract purchase) prevented final filing. - Since 'standard deduction' pretty much wiped out income, "Help" suggested deleting that form. Did. And it finally submitted to the IRS and the state returns.
