This software made numerous mistakes in my returns. Info and help features were written to PREVENT users from understanding error messages. Slow to load, 'updates' frequently changed refund/owed amounts, and inaccurately 'warns' of penalties. All these things combined seem to indicate that the software is designed to herd users toward more expensive consultations with HR staff.
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The software is accurate and thorough, but sometimes cumbersome and time-consuming to use. For example, if you're entering your information and want to see what the current actual tax return page or schedule looks like, it takes several clicks, scrolling through a list, and when you can finally see the actual schedule, it is littered with "mini-worksheets", most of which don't even apply to your return. It can be frustrating.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming

A bit clunky. Also, do not use for processing State taxes in NC. You will receive error messages until March 2nd that your taxes cannot be transmitted - but with no explanation.
