Love this software, been using it for years and never had an issue until this year, when dependent information failed to transfer from my federal return to my state return, which I missed upon review. Ended up having to send in an amended state return because of it. Not cool, H&R.

I had been using this software for many years, but the past two years I've had issues.
2 years ago, my state tax was totally wrong and I ended up having to pay a penalty.

This past year, there was also a calculation error that resulted in a delay in my federal refund.
When I tried to get help, could not get customer support, and emails went unanswered.
My taxes are pretty basic, and the program loads info from the previous year which is great, but very disappointed to have issues 2 years in a row now.
Pros: Maximizes refund

Taxpayers should know how their income is taxed. H&R Block’s software is, at least to me, easier to use, more straight-forward, than competing software packages. I have been using it or its predecessor TaxCut, since the early days of personal computers, in the 1980’s.
Pros: Easy to import documents

The software is excellent. Easy to install and updates regularly. I've used it for a number of years and count on it every tax season. If you need personal help you have that also although depending on the staff member you get , can be excellent or need of someone else. All in all for the money H&R Block software is worth looking into
