I've used H&R Block tax software for years. It's easy to use and appears to be very accurate. The Help section is not always useful as sometimes it is not specific enough. For less experienced filers, there are detailed areas that can be used to assist. For example, there is a "Deduction Pro" section that helps users decide if they should itemize. Good software overall.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund

The tax planning section is very weak. Ideally, the user could compare the four options, based on how much data is entered, and the program would show the math rather than just give an answer. Currently the user needs to basically be a tax expert to understand and trust the result.

I have been using this software sine the 1990's! It is the easiest software to use with help screens for everything. It even allows for help with H & R Block employees if necessary and those employees will help you should you be audited which I have never been. You can file electronically, and it takes you through the process. I'll never use a different tax software period!!!

Easy to use software. Especially like that prior year data is automatically filled in. The software is thorough as it leads you through all aspects of the return. More info and help features clearly explain different tax questions you may have. Filing is simple and quick with notifications on acceptance of return. Have been using the software for many years and will continue to use it because of its value.

Issue with activation location online. That should be secure in one spot under HR umbrella with each package type listed. Had to call rep to resolve download. Hate disorder and instructions that are not clear or complete...which should be on the pkg...not involve some google search. Own it. Also had to upgrade Windows. Whole activity took days.
