I have use H & R Block software for yers. This year I had a problem with the State software and could not send my return electronically. I had to mail the return to the State and wait 8 weeks to receive the refund.
Pros: Maximizes refund
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The federal software works very well. The state software (AZ) lacks support for the tax credit forms. Some are not supported at all and it you use them you cannot e-file your state return. This has caused a 6 to 12 week delay in getting a state refund each year.
Pros: Fast
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund

I like the web version better is more easy to use and follow, the questions are more intuitive and take you faster to the correct result. I hope next year the software get closer to the web version.

It is straightforward and fairly simple to use. My returns are not complicated but involve a variety of income sources. With this software I don't miss any items that need to be covered on my return. Filing is easy and the prompts throughout the process are extremely helpful. I have been using this software for several years. I tried turbotax initially but it was too hard for me to follow

Your program could not handle my 2020 return as my husband died during that tax year. I'm still waiting for IRS to complete my refund. The return for 2021 seemed to go better Could you refund the purchase price for 2020 or give me credit for 2022?
