I have used H&R Block Deluxe software for years. Why? It is easy to use; for example, it "remembers" information from the previous year's return and automatically fills in the blanks. The questionnaire style is logical and clear so that in the end my tax returns are done accurately.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

Overall a decent software for doing taxes on your own, though if you have investments like stocks or crypto, this software is not that great in my opinion. I’d also like to see a clearer and more user friendly interface. The existing user interface hasn’t changed in many years and I will be considering other software tools for next year’s taxes.

The worst thing about this software is you don't give clear instructions on the income area, especially the stocks. There is terminology you have to figure out and it is not included in your software. I finally logged onto YouTube and listened to another company's instructions to figure it out.
