I have used the software for years and love the intuitive screen layouts and ease of navigating. I do taxes for 4 additional family members and do not like the add-on costs of the state software programs (2 additional states) and state e-filing.

I am a long term H&R local office customer who tried the software this year for the first time to try doing my own taxes. I found most of the software straight forward and easy to use, but several sections did not include clear guidance on what to do. This slowed me down and took more time to e-file. I also didn’t appreciate having to pay for additional state software and state e-files when I had bought the Deluxe Federal & State software. I still saved mmoney but I’m not sure my filings are accurate. I am looking forward to truly free filing via the forthcoming IRS and state software online that can fully cover my future needs.

Cons: Time consuming
