I started using Tax cut over 20 plus years ago. I had my taxes done by a tax accountant. After they were done I decided to see if I could get a larger refund by buying Tax cut and after I did my taxes I had a larger refund.

Can't open previous years files for viewing. Had an issue with the state government and I needed to open a previous year and you can't access your original software download and the new version won't open the old files. Even if you have the product key it doesn't matter, you can't get the software. Backup more than just your tax files if you're going to use this software.
Cons: Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

After fixing the problem they marked, they still wouldn’t accept it. I had to mail it and I’m still waiting for my refund (although, that’s the government’s fault).

Since the government created a very complicated income tax set of laws, the money for these programs should come from the money owed in our tax filing. Other than the fact that I believe HR Block software is over priced, it is easy to use and to follow along. And even easier to use year after year.
