Straightforward to use, with a clear progression from each section to the next. I like the way it imports data from the previous year's return, to include stocks, mutual funds, and charities you've reported in the past. This can save tedious re-keying of information that recurs from year to year. I expect to keep using this software in the future.

Used the software for many years, and really like it and would have given it 5 stars. However, this year in addition to the regular 1040 I needed to make an amended return. Very difficult. Ended up making the amended by hand.
Pros: Easy to import documents

I really like working with this program, but I don't feel like it explains all the items I deal with, it always sends you off to a different site or the IRS.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents

I have used This type of software for the last 18 years. I have loved the ease and intuitive manner in how the program steps you through each part of your taxes. If you are not sure if a certain tax or credit works, click on it anyway abs it will let you know whether it is applicable to you.
I file for my kids and my mother-in-law, who is retired, and it makes it a snap to do.
The only reason I have this a 4 start is because this last year I upgraded to Windows 11, then found out it was not supported. It would have been nice to mention that somewhere.
That will not hinder me in the next year to purchase it again.
