Not as detailed and friendly to prepare as had been in the past. It seemed to there were several items that I had to summarize or add together that were done automatically before. It took me more time and I had to do more checking to be sure I did not miss anything.
If I had not been a customer for many years I might not have finished using h&r block. Maybe the difficulty had to do with IRS requirements.

Primitive user interface that does not create an index to user entries. Very hard for me to find data in a unindexed list that runs 10's of pages and has no index or search function. Software forgets where you are on lists when you return to the list (I have more than 100 stock trades. What a nightmare to step through this list!)

For most people, it is fairly easy to use. Better price than Turbo Tax. It is a bit limited on the backend reporting. Would be really nice if it produced a summary of tax by its relevant components (ordinary income, investment income, etc) but overall it should fit the vast majority of taxpayers.

Cons: Time consuming
