I started with H and R many years ago and now I figure I'm stuck with it, but it is very confusing and it causes mistakes.
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This was great. So much better than Tax Act which I had used forever but which got increasingly expensive for a return with some capital gains. This was cheap, it worked, filing state was reasonable ... and I think I could have done my kids taxes with the same license rather than buying multiple licenses with Tax Act. I can't imagine going back.

Easy to understand and provides guidance as long as your not trying to report everything on a partnership form K-1. It takes you partway through then just let’s you on your own to figure out how to finish.
