While doing my 2021 taxes, most of it went okay until I got to Schedule D and Form 8949. My short term stock details were displayed on Form 8949, however, my long term stock details did not display on Form 8949. I tried to download this from my brokerage acct. over and over again approx. 6 times hoping the itemization would occur. I also couldn't input it manually. This was very frustrating, and I hope it doesn't cause me to be audited!

Couldn't E-file my California state tax. The error message doesn't have enough info on how to resolve it. I eventually had to mail my California state tax return in mail and late.

I've been using H&R Block software to prepare federal and MD state returns for our family and several other family members and friends for probably 17 years now. I've generally found it to be quite easy to use and have never had any accuracy issues.
I do think there are a few tweaks that could be made to the software that would make it even easier to use, but these are quite minor in the scheme of things.

I have used H&R tax software for about 10 years. It is simple and takes the drudge out of manually calculating debits and credits per IRS form instructions. Takes the error out of the procedure.
