This program takes you through all the steps required to complete the taxes in an orderly fashion. First exporting data from the previous year and then using that data to help you through the steps and assuring you don't forget any possible changes that might apply this year.

The last few years, my 1040s have been questioned and 2021 had been held up sent feb 16, 2022 and to date, no answers. My 1099 have been the same for 7 years after the death of my husband. Is the software right or wrong, why is it being held up

It’s a very amateur product although the features are pretty reasonable - it’s a very poor user interface. Additionally the final report/printout at the end after filing is pretty pathetic.
I suggest reviewing TurboTax on how a final tax report should look.

I prepare the tax returns for my whole family using this software. I find the platform easy to use and the prompts from screen to screen helpful. After many years of using this program, I have learned to navigate it well and understand how to utilize the features even if I'm puzzled about something. I appreciate the audit support and the fact that my kids are now able to understand and do their own taxes with minimal support from me using this same software.
