I have been using this program for years. However, this year it didn't work. I have a simple return, and I just got hit with a State tax penalty and my Federal return was readjusted. My information was simple, I have no idea why I would get hit with a $1600 State return bill. I now don't trust this program. This is not good with someone that is now retired and on a fixed income.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Mostly intuitive and simple to use. Easy to edit the forms themselves. The federal efile is great. Make sure to print your state one properly. One mistake had me reprinting 30 pages of documents!
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents

I find this software very easy to use and generally covers all my tax perp needs. It also provides more than one efile so, my daughter is able to use it as well. I could use online filing but, much more comfortable with having all my info local on my computer.
