Have been using H&R Block tax programs for years. Easy to use. Just follow the line of questions to enter the necessary tax info. Only have one issue...sometimes the program does NOT include the means to determine how values are created or where the values are coming from. Isn't there a way to amend the program to provide this functionality? The courtesy of a response would be appreciated. Thank you.

Fed is good. but Ohio state has error. 2022-2024 double added RC and NRC cause problems. overall good. use HRblock for fed 20 plus years.

Overall, I'm satisfied with the federal tax software in that it helps me to finish doing my tax relatively easily. I don't really have a complex tax situation, just the usual wages, interest, dividend, capital gain distribution, pensions and social security payments as income and the usual standard deduction kind of family. In other word, it's nothing too special. One thing I found out is that for the Iowa state tax software, it would not allow me to designate a third party to discuss the tax return with the state department of revenue, even though just like the federal, the state return has the section to allow the filer to do it. It is just a bug in the state tax software and because of that, the state software would not allow me to e file to the state. So I have to end up printing out the state return and mailing it in. Such an inconvenience. That's why I have to deduct a star from the rating.

Less confusing than Turbo Tax - Ran on Windows 10

For the most part, the program worked as expected. I had used Turbo Tax for the last few years, but I switched to H&R Block because Turbo Tax would only run on Windows 11 (NOT run on Windows 10) and
I do not have Windows 11 on my Dell Optiplex desktop computer. My only objection to Turbo Tax was that some of the entries were a bit confusing, and at times it seemed to be problematic in switching from one task to another.
