Deluxe Software: Site added exempt dividends to the total taxable amount.
Pros: Maximizes refund

The software did a great job handling the solar credit. The program did crash a few times.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

Better than last year!

Last year there were glitches that even the technical experts couldn’t fix. As a result it inputted my income as 21/2 times what it is. Then it was carried over to the state household income which caused d me a huge problem with my state tax department. Because I didn’t want to use TurboTax I took another chance on HRBlock software. This time I had no problems and everything went smoothly and accurately! Way better than last year!
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast

The application crashed and closed multiple times

We have used H&R Block for about 9 years. We have been very happy with the software over the years. However, this year, the software crashed and abruptly closed multiple times during the process of entering the data. We may investigate other tax software next year.

Was a little stressful

This was the first time in a long time that I did my own taxes. I did try to talk to someone via on line chat but nobody was available. Despite this I was able to file, which is so great.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents

I’ve used H & R Tax Block for over 13 years with no problems. This year it said no errors, no risk of audit yet when I submit to IRS they repeatedly reject it… so I’m suppose to mail in the return… thanks for five free files that mean nothing next year it’s Turbo Tax I’ll be buying. Also the calculations that this software came up with are different for m6 state and school taxes according to their websites… so epic fail all the way around.
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
