I've been using H&R Block's tax software for years. Rarely have I had any issues. When something does come up, their customer service staff has always been able to guide me through to the solution. Very helpful and friendly.

Hard to use compared to TurboTax. Fonts too small. Instructions not clear regarding retirement 1099s and IRAs and 401ks. Had to do a lot of Dick Tracy detective work with IRS publications due to crappy software.
Pros: Maximizes refund
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I wasn't able to load last year's taxes the usual way. I was able to load a pdf file. I also wasn't able to install this year's pdf creation app on one specific laptop but was able to do so on another using same windows 10 os.

Software is easy to install and use. Covers many questions you may forget. My returns have always been accepted and processed as submitted. My only issues are having to pay extra for state e-filing and availability to purchase in stores at lower cost than on line presale.
