I have used H&R Block software for probably 20 years. I had to replace my computer in the middle of tax season. Since all the software is digitally downloaded, I called customer service and explained that I needed to reload this year and last year's software. The customer service agent sent me two emails, one each with a link to the software that I needed. Changing computers can be a very frustrating experience, dealing with H&R Block was NOT!

It is a great tool that I've used for close to 10 years and I wouldn't do my taxes any other way now. It is presented in interview style, but the user can jump in and out of the interview to go to specific items, so that you can enter data as they come in from payers over several weeks or do it all in one session. It allows you to look at the individual forms if you want. It can import carry overs from the previous year, like capital gains losses. As you do your federal taxes, it keeps track of what has to be moved to the state preparation. Like any new tool, using it is a learning experience, but once you've got it down, it's great. This year my federal refund showed up in about a week and my state in about three.
