I was very disappointed with the software and will not use again. First, I couldn’t print to a PDF without uninstalling my printers. Customer support was able to resolve so evidently this was a known problem. Also another glitch in the program would not allow me to efile. Customer Support solution was to file on paper which I feel is unacceptable.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Tax software has one job and that is to get your taxes right. HRB 2022 tax software has a glaring error in Massachusetts Schedule X (IRA distributions) that will undoubtedly lead users of the software to underpay their MA taxes and later owe penalties and late fees. Unfortunately, most users won’t catch and correct the error because they trust the software to get it right. There’s no excuse for this lapse in HRB quality assurance. Tax experts should both be writing the software and testing it for accuracy before the software is released to the public.
