The software has been good over the years, but this year I was unable to import records from Fidelity. I called support and they were useless. A ticket was opened up and no follow up.

This is about the 5th year I’ve used the H&R Block tax software for filing returns ( state and federal). It is up to date, easy to use, and looks for all opportunities to save money. As a retiree (now) and a working (married filing jointly) it gets to all the questions needed for an accurate return.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

Online help on finding entry screens wrong; program incorrectly rounded estimated Indiana state tax pmts up to next highest dollar, resulting in state tax error corrected by department of revenue (no penalty, but caused delay of my refund).
Pros: Fast
Cons: Hard to prepare

The program works well and easy to use. However I did find that the program did not calculate the Colorado sales Tax refund. I called and reported it but to my knowledge nothing has been done.
