I have used the federal and state (MN) editions fro several years and find it very straightforward. My returns aren't complicated but I sometimes itemize deductions. If a topic isn't clear to me I can generally use the H&R Block software to get answers or point me to the correct IRS instructions. However for most items I am able to complete my forms without having to resort to this.

I have used H & R Block software for about 20 years to do my Federal taxes and find it relatively easy to use even with tasks such as entering stock options, RSUs and ESPP stock data. I especially like how applicable data from the previous year can be automatically copied into the new year. My tax refunds have been fairly quick and for the past 3 years have received them in less than a week from submitting the taxes

I have been H&R Block customer for years now and I am very satisfied.
I wish they download all crypto transactios from coinbase and other crypto exchanges.

It does the job. However, I only have stock investments (sales and dividends and distributions) and usually not too many exceptional tax related transactions to report. I've used the software for about the last 30-35 years (since late 1980s, early 1990s).
