I am a multi-year user of H&R Block and am impressed a little more each year. I've never been dissatisfied. I highly recommend this.

Never again unless they refund money I paid for electronic federal efile but due to blocks application bugs had to mail my federal return in instead of waiting for weeks and weeks for hr block to fix

For the most part, the instructions were clear and easy to follow. However, there were a couple of times I wasn't sure how to proceed or get out of a "loop". Also, not sure if I could have used a different version as it turns out we didn't itemize our expenses. Does the non-deluxe version work if you have social security and 1099-Rs?

The same problems exist year after year, when you get to the state forms it will all ways come back and say "you claimed such and such on your federal form, what was that", you then have to go back and look up the item to see what they are talking about. This should transfer over or at least direct you to the exact place where this is on the federal form. Also, some forms are not included on the fed + state, they want you to purchase the more expensive program. Form 8949 is what I am referring to, I believe it was in the 2021 tax program. This should be more user friendly, If someone doesn't know anything about taxes, they will have a hard time just doing them with the program.

Cons: Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare
