Frustrating process

I started with the basic product and then was told that I had to update to the Deluxe because I need the updated 5695. There was a green button Fix the issue, but it would not fix the issue. I bought the Deluxe product and then was told that I could not get the credit for the solar because I am retired. Bunch of non
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

H&R Block Deluxe gets the job done. If you're used to TurboTax products, you can easily adapt to H&R Block. The differences are:
1. Updates are made in announced date batches with about 2-weeks between batches; the system works but does not clearly describe update content.
2. The interview system audits the names on downloaded 1099s; it reports when they do not match to the return data; but this mode does not allow for correction. Correction is only available in the Go To Forms mode.

Due to an e-filing processing error or HR Block's end, our return was rejected 12 days after we submitted it. Before that, it was in limbo with no messages except that it had been submitted with no other information given. When I researched it a week after submission, I could find nothing about why it was just sitting there. Finally got the rejection notice, saying an update on 3/13/23 would fix it. When I tried to update on 3/13, it said my updates were all current. I am hoping this update on 3/17 will fix the error, otherwise we will not be able to e-file in time to meet the deadline, if the delay in the last notification was any indication. I expect better.

Have used this product for 12 years! So easy use, always up to date with changing federal and state tax laws. Input data is available year to year - avoids reentering static data each year. Just a comfortable product to use.

have used for years and overall very satisfied. There are some odd things that happen with the forms/worksheets that their info is vague and doesnt make sense. But would buy again.
