The state software for Colorado is lacking when compared to TurboTax and others. If you have other credits the software has you mail the state return in, rather than ask questions and file electronically.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund

I've been using H&R Block tax software for years. Overall, it's great. There are sometimes a few confusing parts, but I can usually get it all done. My only real complaint is that in my state (AZ) there are tax credits that can be claimed, but the forms are not included. I have to go to the state website and print them out from there. Otherwise, it's a great program and makes doing taxes so much easier!

I have a problem with the state forms preventing me from filing my return. Chattted with support who went through their script and had me jump to the usual non-productive hoops, then said they'd escalate and get back to me in 5 to 7 business days. Also program does not support all of the state forms I need.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
