Easy to populate info. State is a breeze since it gets lots of it's data from the federal. i am a fan of filing electronically

Everything was going fine till I hit the IRA section. As I was the primary and my husband was secondary it wasn’t an issue till then. It asked who’s IRA info it was and I selected my husbands but when I checked the work sheets the info pulled was mine. The info came from the primary name on the personal info section. I had to delete that info and make him the primary and me secondary in order to correct it which then threw all the other sections off. The whole return was a redo.
Pros: Fast
Cons: Hard to import documents

Everything works well except that your program does not address foreign pensions; how to enter them in 1040. This may be a rare occurrence but it is quite often between Canada and the US.

Nice software easy to navigate. Not easy to update information once you have completed a return and you realize an entry needs to be updated. As in past years once the review is complete I am advised to correct an error that an entry is blank even though the data is there.

I have always used H/R block. Easy to use. IF you have questions, you can go to a store by scheduling an appointment without charge. You can also use their phone system or internet, but difficult to get to a person. Long wait. Transferred to the wrong department for help.
