Easy to enter data by your self or down loads. But there are areas that are unclear and programs does not explain it. I also do not like to pay extra $$ for State online filing. I Purchase the Fed and State software but "surprise" I have to pay again to file State.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

Easy to use software, but needs updating. I have always done my own taxes and have used this software for years. Now that I am older, most screen texts are difficult to read. Text size is too small and has a poorly chosen background. An example is the window that shows when the next program update is scheduled. The text is so faint that I have to adjust the angle of my laptop screen to barely read the text. Easy to use adjustable text size is needed snd better contrasting background.
I do like the automatic loading of information from the previous year. It also preloads data from the previous year into the new return.
I used to mail my return. Now I have used efile the last 2 years. It is very easy to use and it greatly increases the processing of the state and federal returns!
Cons: Hard to prepare

I have used H&R Block software to prepare my taxes for the past few years, switching over from TurboTax. A unwanted change made by TurboTax resulted in my switching, and I've been happy enough with H&R Block to stay. A problem with downloading the tax information from my brokerage site was inconvenient for the past two years, but thankfully it was resolved this past year.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming

Clear, easy to use, love the import of outside account statements. Review for errors and needed edits prior to filing is excellent. Electronic submission went flawlessly for Federal and State. I have used H&R Block for over a decade and never been disappointed.
