Software needs to tone down the over use of words we do not understand. On line help does not help.

Problem with what is covered

I have been using HRBlock software for about 10 years. Every year I have checked that the package I purchase does form K-1. My wile received an inheritance from her father in the form of a trust. Every year The software states that I need professional advice for the form K-1 because box 14 is checked 'I'. Please resolve this: state the software does not do form K-1 or fix the issue with box 14!!!!!!!

Poor "Save" features

After buying a download version I was disappointed that I could not save where I wanted. I should be able to save all my documents to a flash or another location on my computer. That said it was easy to send in my taxes.
Pros: Easy to prepare

I've use H&R Block tax software for a 5 years and will continue using it. Preparation of your taxes is quite simple using this software and being able to pull up last year's returns - calculated via the same program is a great way to ensure you leave nothing out.

We've now used H&R block software for 6-7 years (switching over from another software), switching largely over the price paid for the software. Now years later, and the realization that one has to pay for e-filing, any cost advantage seems minimal. The software works and overall we're pretty satisfied. Help is pretty good but if your taxes are "complicated", you might find help less than useful. We've had better and more specific help via online searches.
