I do wish that the software would import the activation code when doing the E File because I bought months ago and almost forgot where I put it.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund

H&R Block makes doing my taxes really easy compared to what it would be otherwise. I couldn't do it without it. I havent encountered a problem I could not address yet with the Deluxe version. It is a great program.

CA State has issues

received rejection notice. Followed directions. CA Return Error message disappeared after I went back to Return. Could not get error message info back. Had to do CA filing again, get rejected again, then get error message again, only to have it disappear again. Trying for the third time.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents

Royalty issues

I find the HR Block format a bit less than user friendly but I managed to get past that. Everything was fine but it would help if you clarified the manner in which deductions for taxes and expenses is reported for oil and gas royalties. An explanation block or paragraph on the page for reporting the 1099 Misc would be helpful with a point toward which form is needed for reporting offsets to gross royalties beyond the state tax lines.

The items that I use due to my situation are pretty straightforward and have been used by me many times. However it was my first year getting 1099-ltc. No help other than telling me witch form to fill out.
