Helpful tax software with concerning version costs

I switched from TurboTax to H&R Block in 2019 when i used both free versions and determined the latter provided more options when itemizing. This year I have discovered that I am forced to use a paid version to get the best itemized deduction. It felt like a bait and switch situation where i wound up obtaining a paid version in order to complete my taxes. The walk-through tax process is wonderful but the cost for the digital version software as opposed to the actual media version needs to come down.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund
