Sooner or later a term or piece of financial tax jargon comes up that you don’t understand. One minute on the phone, with a small fraction of the help they advertise, would put me back on the right path. Navigating the help menu choices was taking me in a circle, recognized that and quit lapping. Relented to asking AI and received the disappointment I suspected. It was a couple of months ago and I wish I had written down the specifics.
Also, the program tripped me up by asking me how much basis there was in an inherited IRA, can’t ask them.

I was enrolled in the yearly subscription, but did not notice any additional savings. Also did not include the state program. Next year will do more of a price comparison and will consider paper.

I purchased H&R sw last year. Took my time to follow my usual interview, made sure to include your updates until April and then transmitted both Federal and State electronically. This is what I do every year since 1996. I tried TurboTax few years ago. I didn’t like it. Too rigid.
