Easy to use

H&R Block tax software is easy to use, I have been using H&R Black since 2007 and it is always easy to navigate and walks you through your return. I use the efile making it even easier to use. I highly recommend this software for doing your taxes.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

Another year of software problems

I had a accuracy review issue to address and I did exactly as instructed but the software would not take the change. I read the guidance notes to make sure I was doing it correctly and still nothing. To fix it I had to change from standard deduction to itemized deduction so this cost me an extra $200. I have had similar problems in the past with the software. I have been a loyal customer for many many years but I will not use your software next year. I have also completed the tax preparer course so i am not an idiot. I can follow directions.
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Really bad this year

I had to file an extension as the application crashed after every section that I finished and did not save the information. Finally after 5 months and right before the extension deadline I was able to transmit to the IRS (nothing saved and I had to input everything again). Unfortunately this will be my last year using this product after 15 plus years of usage.
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents

Not Quite Good Enough

I've been using this for my simple return and for a friend who doesn't really need to file. It's fine for those returns. But a friend begged me to do his return and I agreed, eve though I knew his was more complicated. This software caused his return to be rejected because it didn't include a form that the interview process didn't cue. Granted I'm not as familiar with this one, but if the interview had mentioned Form 1095-A, the return would not have been rejected originally. Also, the software font is extremely small and I have not found a way to increase or magnify it. It's horribly difficult to read!!!

NO way to efile on state return only. Impossible to stop credit card charge for failed electronic file.
