I bought this last month. Installed it, did and update today and finished my taxes in no time at all. Very easy to use and understand. We have been using sane program for years now and never a problem. Highly Recommend.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

Very happy with H&R Block Deluxe and State. Wish the printing was not so small and sometimes hard to read. As for the Amazon option at the end, you need to advise that if you have chosen to have an electronic transfer of a overpayment you can't select the Amazon option, at least that was my experience.
Pros: Maximizes refund
Cons: Time consuming

Used every year since the early nineties, almost 30 years. Has been fantastic and I feel that I have gotten my best refund every time. Highly recommend..

eFile useless because PIN field is only 5 digits

The IRS gave me a 6-digit pin for 23023 eFile. This HRB software takes only 5 digits. My return was rejected twice before I figured out there is a software compatibality issue between HRB software and IRS software.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Finished My Returns in Less Than 1 Hour

I have been using H&R Block for the last 4 years and have saved hundreds of dollars not hiring a "tax" expert. Of course I am quite nitpick when it comes to saving essential paperwork, receipts, docs, etc.
This year I had insufficient donations from last year to claim deductions. I breezed through all the questions and answers, downloaded my investment information DIV and DDR forms directly from my investment company, verified from whom the information came from, three time, closed out that last page, and presto, NO TAXES this year, state or federal. So, So, RELIEVED.

Frustrating

To complete my 2023 return, it asked for the amount of my 2022 "itemized deductions." Because I used H&R Block software in 2022, I'd think the 2023 software should know both that I used the standard deduction in 2022 and the amount of that deduction. So, I assumed the question should have been phrased as, "what was your 2022 itemized/standard deduction."
But, because words mean something when doing taxes, having to wonder whether or not the question was poorly worded was both disappointing and frustrating.
