Since I retired I have found flaws that HRB refuses to address. I sold my losing stocks the past couple of years and discovered that when I imported my 1099 from the brokerage firm, the software automatically applied my capital loss carryover even though I didn't earn enough to need to claim it. I've also found that most of my W2s and 1099s couldn't be imported because they weren't in the HRB lists.
Pros: Fast
Cons: Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A couple of issues but I’ll try it one more time .

I found it difficult to get back to my actual return after I had been contemplating filing an extension but decided not to because of the exorbitant cost. Seems like one of the unnecessary free extra efiles could be dropped in favor of a free extension filing.
2. The program prints out the pre-populated tax forms fine, but the data that the user enters prints out very dimly. The font used for data needs to be darker

Too many examples of poor or incomplete details or explanations for various tax issues in the forms!
Importation of previous years returns and data were inadequate. No easy way to print individual pages or sections for my records. "Final check" errors were NOT clearly explained or easily correctable.

Features good, but mistake in forwarding my 22 AGI

I bought this in December 2023 at full price and then got an offer for reduced price in February. Too late. Not happy. Also, the forwarded 2022 AGI fpr purposes of identity was incorrect and I had to sign up with the IRS online to get the correct number. Very time consuming.
