I have used this for quite a few years and it doesn’t get any easier. They used to send you a disc but now you must search for the software. It doesn’t make things very clear.
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've been using the H&R Block software for maybe 8-10 years now, and am always pleased with the ease of use, the thoroughness of the questions and the assurance of help in case of an audit. I referred this to a friend this year whose accountant just retired. He is the kind of person who is very thorough and hesitant to trust in doing taxes himself. But he got the program and liked it so much that his entire family used it, saving even more money they would have typically paid an accountant.

I bought my H&R software before tax season to save money. However, the released software wouldn't execute on my computer's operating system. I should have changed to Turbotax. I bought a new computer but I worry if it will support H&R tax software next season

I bought this to do my taxes and had to purchase the State piece. The premise was to efile BOTH. It appears online that they communicate with N.C. Ah, but not so fast, not all versions of the software even though you buy state work properly. So I am glad I did not wait until today (Apr 15) or I would have been sincerely out of luck with filing a paper return. The 1 star is for the complete lack of a decent help screen in the program or online in assisting. 6 hours of my time is worth switching to TurboTax in the future. I truly deserve next year’s version free.
Cons: Time consuming

I have used this software for years. You have change the ability to override the input from Box 14 on the W-2 and insist that it is excess earned income. But it is all Housing Allowance for this minister's application based on FRV. So it was a challenge to input the correct information.
