As frustrating as any software can be.

I finished the Federal return. H&R Block says it cannot be submitted, then I get email saying the return has been accepted. I look for status on the program (As recommended.) but I am only told the return has not been submitted. I cannot know what the status is.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

DEFINITION OF FAIL: A tax software provider whose e-file system is down on tax day. H&R Block software is hard to use, but tolerable. But when you cannot e-file on 4/15 because of their system issues, that is a deal breaker.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Some things are better but is obscure in directions for government retirees when filing the state taxes leading to overpayment. Also inefficient use of tab headings when doing checks or corrections.
Pros: Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents

Have been using this software for 20 years. Am happy overall, mildly disappointed in some of the coverage. For specificity in this review, program asks about partnerships and S Corps but doesn't cover them completely and punts to a tax advisor. I don't have a tax advisor.

We are aware of an issue preventing some desktop software users from e-filing their returns. Online clients and clients working with our tax professionals virtually or in person are not impacted. We are working to resolve the issue quickly and ask clients to please try again later today or print and mail their return if that is more convenient.
