I submitted federal tax electronically selecting fed only option but after submitting - I changed my mind and want to submit state electronically (CA) too but found not any option for that - it will be right that electronic state submission will be always open independent of fed
The program constantly had to be updated and wouldn't allow to file as another update was due. Then when it was time to file the site is down the day before and day taxes are due. No notice that they were having problems just that you as the filer was doing something wrong, which wasn't true!
Been using this software for many years. Easy to use. Never had a problem. Others may complain, but I can't find anything negative about using this software.
Couldn’t file my taxes because the server kept rejecting my efile. When it finally went through, the return was repeatedly reject even though the report showed no errors. I’ve always used HR Block until today. NEVER AGAIN!
I have used the deluxe with state product for over a decade for my own taxes and in support of a number of family members. I have found it to be easy to use and generally flexible and comprehensive. It disappointed me in failing to continue post-covid forms and a few other cases but considered them as exceptions to its overall success through the years. Today though, with server failures on tax day preventing e-filing, I will certainly track closely H&R Blocks efforts to prevent a repeat and will remain more open to competing services next year
I have been using H&R Block tax software since 2013, and remain very satisfied with it. Features, such as loading previous personal information and tax data is a true time-saver, and the software's updates ensure accuracy.
System was down 4/14 and 4/15, and I spent a lot of time trying over and over to get it filed. What even? Also, explanations are not clear - "you may be due a credit on Marketplace ins" but I had to research it on the web to evaluate this statement b/c the software didn't investigate it for me. Going to run my numbers thru TurboTax this time to see how they compare b/c I'm not trusting the product I've used for 10 years.
