I have used this software for several years. I have natural gas royalties and every year it is very hard to figure out. It seems like the software duplicates some of the questions.

Have used H&R Block for several years, but software did not work for State Ohio taxes last year. Gave it another chance this year and it seemed to work OK. Withholding opinion until see if Ohio IRS has any problems with return.
Pros: Easy to prepare

The interview section tried to generalize too much and left me wondering where to enter the data. If the data was imported it got to the right place. Not so with manual inputs.
Cons: Hard to import documents

Good product, but e-file didn't work

I'm a customer for 7+ years, know the software by now. So it's a breeze to do taxes ( mine are not very complicated, just a house and some stock ). Never had an issue, but this time was bad. The e-file function didn't work, probably server overload. It was very stressful ( printer didn't work, last days to file ) and, to top it off, each time I tried my CC would be charged again. Interestingly, that function of the internet process worked !!
One other point is, that you have to pay extra for a state e-file ( which was not working for more than 2 days !! ). Why not include the fee for the first state in the product price ???

I’ve use this software for the past 10 years. It is accurate and thorough prompting me to look for deductions I would not have thought of. In addition you build a historical library of returns.
Pros: Easy to prepare

Excellent Tax Prep Software Beats TurboTax

I bought this software because my tax guy retired. Since the kids are off at college and I have retired I thought I'd take a whack at it. This software guides your through the process and and makes an impossible task possible.
My only gripe is the OHIO 529 instructions were minimal and hard to figure out. I guessed.
Pros: Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast
I would recommend this to a friend!
