I have used this software for several years. In fact, it's the only tax preparation software that I've ever used. This year I was very disappointed on Sunday when I attempted to e-file my return and kept getting the bad gateway error. Also tried on Monday and got the same message. I resorted to submitting a paper file and check for taxes owed to be sure that I made the deadline. Then I found out tonight when checking my email that the return was accepted last night. Now I'm wondering what is going to happen with the duplicate returns and payments. How do I get it back!!! Will probably look to different software next year :(

The income reported in 1116 doesn't get added to other income. It only shows foreign tax credit. This is a bug that is there for at least 3 years.
HR Block should also think of rewards system for people who identify bugs.
It could not import the mortgage document, which I entered manually

I have been using H&R block software to file taxes for more than 5 years now. Overall it is a decent software to file taxes, except when you have to do a stock transaction import. The import works quickly and flawlessly, but after that, verifying that is the most painful process i have ever seen. except that and few annoying bugs, it is good.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming
I would recommend this to a friend!

This software did the job for me with my taxes, but it definitely isn't as straight forward and easy as Turbo Tax. I was expecting questions on what happened the past year, at least for the question to be asked about buying a new home after indicating that I sold my last home. If you're not an experienced tax filler I cannot recommend this unless you have someone you can go to.

Cons: Doesn't maximize refund

Software didn’t mention anything about the irs pin numbers until after the return was rejected for not having the pin. Refiling caused multiple filing charges to hit my cc. I have used this software for @30 yrs. This year’s software is a disgrace!

When the tax return is complete, the issues found need to be more simply stated with a recommended fix. Example, when a couple files married separate why dies the other Spouses birthday when filled in cause the return to not be electronically filed.

Could not e-file my returns, which is the whole purpose of the product. HRBlock was cheaper than TurboTax, so I used HRBlock for the first time. Going back to TurboTax next year…
