I've used H&R Block software for years, and have always been pleased, but this year is a huge exception. I spent hours on the 14th and 15th trying to get my daughter's returns accepted, with no clue as to why except a "bad gateway" message.
Being in IT support for almost 40 years, I'm astounded that there weren't fallback options in place to get your system back up and functioning in a more timely manner. The lack of communication that the problem was on your end was also very disappointing.
The best I can give right now is a 3.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming

Needs improvement in investments pull in info

This is my second year to use this product.... but I'm not happy that it pulls in info that is marked "not reported to IRS" in my statement....
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to import documents

I've been using this software since before the name change and have found it to be very consistant and reasonably easy to use for an average taxpayer. I don't have any special/unusual needs, just a married home owner with normal deductions, so I'm likely barely touching on the full capabilities of the program, and that's just fine for me.
