I purchase HR Block Delux early in the year. This allows me to copy information from the prior year and get my forms started as information rolls in. Makes it easy to file as soon as the last pieces of tax related data arrives. Love the audit feature as it keeps me from making simple mistakes.

Have used TaxAct and more recently TaxCut for taxes over the years. Decided to try Block's offer for the first time. The questionnaire method of entering information worked fairly well compared to the others. It did seem to help with some deductions and credits that I don't recall before. Gave it a full test as I not only did my taxes, but was able to do a couple of my kids as well. I found it a bit difficult to jump to different forms, but the search feature helped a bit. I also had to file an extension, which took a while to figure out (had to go to the beginning of the questionnaire). Overall, it did the job and may have netted me a better refund but I did find it a bit more cumbersome to navigate around.
Pros: Easy to import documents

This software sucks. So many problems to list. Result? Failure to file, with frustrating ERRONEOUS "failure code." When I called, I was told to call IRS. What a joke!
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents

Very good program. Just some picky observations. Schwab didn't send my tin (social security numbers) with my personal information. I didn't know that what they were. Perhaps when asked for the tin ,add "usually social security" would be clearer. Also, when filling out the State it didn't use the bank info from the Federal forms ,so I had to fill bank route and account numbers in . As I said; just picky observations.

I dropped off my paperwork on April 2nd. Had to pay for Uber. I called multiple times(over 10) to check status. They kept telling me different stories and how she would call me back. She never did. I had to scramble to find another place on tax day. I will never use this place again.
