This review is for HR 2023 Federal Delux edition. Easiest and most helpful HR Block program I have used so far. A complicated return was made simple. FIVE STAR experience right up until I tried to transmit the completed return to HR Block for submission to the IRS( April 14). Efforts unsuccessful with "could not connect to Server" warnings. I did however receive EMAILS from HR that the return was received and successfully transmitted to IRS. I called HR customer service on the 15th and the very helpful lady confirmed that my return was indeed successfully transmitted to the IRS but I should stop trying to transmit the return to HR from my computer to avoid any IRS ERROR FLAGS. GREAT program, GREAT telephone customer service but POOR COMPUTER SUPPORT. I will continue to use HR BLOCK programs in the future. Hopefully next year, their computer problems will be resolved.

I was a victim of the April 14th server crash. Had my taxes all completed in advance of deadline and all it lacked was to e-file. HR block failed me at the most important time. Had to rush to make printed copies and get them in the mail the next day. Major letdown.

This has been a great product to prepare my taxes on my time with the support of a large team of tax experts. This year I felt a little less confident since for the first time I had quite a few validations. hopefully the programmers will be able to add additional tools to resolve more of those by next year.

I was thoroghly disappointed with my filing experiences. Two days before taxes were due, I began my attemps at filing electronically to no avail. One of my filings was an extension, and everytime I attempted to file it authorized the payment on my credit card, despit the IRS and H&R Block software not being able to connect. More than 24 horus later, HR block finally posted in the platform difficulties with the software and if problem persists to go to post office which was not an option as I was travelling and unable to access postal and print services from my location.

Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents

This software was easy to install and ultimately got the job done. There were some shortcomings with the ease of use - I couldn't find a few things and the help section was not helpful with regards to what I was looking for. The font and boxes to enter data is ridiculously small which in my opinion makes it almost unusable.
Pros: Fast
Cons: Hard to prepare
