Scholarship in come is put into 1098T in Box1 and Box5. If box 5 is > box1 then its taxable. Your this part asks like old questions no change no updates. And if scholarship income is taxable the student should be able to save in IRA. Sorry your SW is very convoluted here. No clear questions and entries. I had been using your SW for tens of years but I will NOT use your SW from next year.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare

The Montana state program had issues with the Montana Health Savings account. I wish the program would let you make changes on the actual forms, not the worksheets or questionnaires. I would like a version for people who are tax savvy but want a program to ensure they are up to date on new tax laws.

Tax day server issue. Moving to TurboTax for 2024

I've been using TaxCut every year since 2003. It does everything I need. But having a "server" issue on tax day and giving no communication for 12 hours is unacceptable.

I have used the product for years, and it is easy to follow and complete. With one license, you can do 5 returns, so I am able to do my wife and mine as well as our two children. I like that it's still a download, and that I do not have to put my information into the cloud.

Many bugs - degraded quality since initial release

We had a poor experience with the H&R Block software this year. It would not allow us to delete non-relevant forms. During the filing process, I was able to enter my routing and account numbers for Federal, but I could not enter the same numbers for State. There were other issues, but you should not need to have your users QA your product for you.
Cons: Hard to prepare
